メキシコ北部が原産です。直径１５〜２２センチ、高さは１５センチほどになります。全体に青緑色で、７〜１３個の低い稜があります。棘はなく灰白色の毛が生えます。真夏、頂部に直径２５ミリほどのピンク色の花を咲かせます。

サボテン科ロフォフォラ属の球形サボテンで、学名は Lophophora williamsii var. decipiens。英名は Lophophora。

The Lophophora (Lophophora williamsii var. decipiens) belongs to Cactaceae (the Cactus family). It is a ball cuctus that is native to northern Mexico. It is 15-22 cm in diameter and about 15 cm tall. It is blue-green throughout and has 7 to 13 low ridges. It has no spines and is covered with grayish-white hairs. In midsummer, it produces pink flowers about 25 mm in diameter at the top.
