The White champaka (Michelia x alba) belongs to Magnoliaceae (the Magnolia family). It is a tall evergreen tree that is an artificial hybrid between "Champaka" (Michelia champaca), distributed from southern India to southern and central China and the Lesser Sunda Islands, and "Michelia montana", distributed from western Malaysia to the Lesser Sunda Islands. It grows to a height of 10-15 m, with a trunk diameter of about 30 cm. The leaves are oblong, 15 to 30 cm long, leathery and thick, with entire, wavy edges and pointed tips. From April to September, it blooms with various fragrant flowers. There are nine tepals. This species does not usually bear fruit, so it is propagated by grafting.
