Globularia sarcophylla belongs to the family Globulariaceae. It is an evergreen shrub that is endemic to the island of Gran Canaria, the Canary Islands, Spain. This shrub grows trailing to suberect on basalt cliffs at 1,500-1,600 m elevation. The leaves are obovate about 2 cm long. The blue flowers about 1.5 cm across bloom on 5-6 cm long terminal peduncles.
