わが国の本州から北海道、それにサハリンに分布しています。山地の日当たりのよい草地に生え、高さは１．５メートルくらいになります。茎の上部はよく分枝し、葉は長楕円形で縁には粗い鋸歯があります。９月から１０月ごろ、枝先に散房花序をだし、小さな頭花を咲かせます。舌状花は白色、筒状花は黄色でどちらにも冠毛があります。若芽は山菜として利用されます。 |

キク科シオン属の多年草で、学名は Aster glehnii var. hondoensis。英名はありません。 |

The "Goma-na" (Aster glehnii var. hondoensis) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed northward from Honshu to Hokkaido in Japan and Sakhalin. This herb grows in sunny montane grasslands and can reach about 1.5 m in height. The stem is much branched at the upper part. The leabes are oblong with coarse toothed edges. The corymbs are borne on the terminal branches and the small flower-heads bloom from September to October. The ray flowers are white and the tubular flowers are yellow, both flowers have pappi. The young shoots are used for boiled vegetable. |
