グイハイアやし (グイハイア椰子) [Index] [Back] 中国の南部およびベトナムが原産です。低くて中肋掌状葉があり群生するヤシで、高さはおよそ１メートルです。その最も特徴的な特徴は、谷折り（逆Ｖ字型）の葉を持つ唯一のヤシだからです。他のすべてのヤシの葉には、谷折り（Ｖ字型）の葉があります。  ヤシ科グイハイア属の常緑小低木で、学名は Guihaia argyrata。英名は Guihaia palm。  The Guihaia palm (Guihaia argyrata) belongs to Arecaceae (the Palm family). It is an evergreen shrub that is native to southern China and Vietnam. It is a low clustering costapalmate fan palm to about 1 m tall. Its most distinctive characteristic is that it is the only palm with palmate leaves that has reduplicate (upside-down V-shape) leaf folds.
