わが国の本州、関東地方以西から四国・九州、それに台湾の蘭嶼にかけて分布しています。海岸沿いに生え、高さは３〜８メートルになります。葉は広卵形で厚く、光沢があり枝先に互生します。６月から７月ごろ、目立たない小さな黄緑色の５弁花を咲かせます。これが秋には黒い液果となります。若木のうちは葉に切れ込みがありますが、成木ではなくなります。台湾華語では「三菱果樹參」。 |

ウコギ科カクレミノ属の常緑小高木で、学名は Dendropanax trifidus。英名はありません。 |

The "Kakure-mino" (Dendropanax trifidus) belongs to Araliaceae (the Ginseng family). It is a semi-tall evergreen tree that is disributed from Kanto district of Honshu west to Shikoku and Kyushu in Japan, as well as Orchid Island in Taiwan. This tree grows in coastwise and can reach 3-8 m in height. Leaves are broad ovate, thick and glossy, alternate at end of twigs. During June to July, small yellowish-green flowers that had five petals are seen in the shadow. Fruits are berries and ripen black in the fall. Leaves of seedlings are devided, but leaves are entire when mature. In Taiwanese Chinese, it is "三菱果樹參". |
