ツビフローラ種（Kalanchoe tubiflora）と「こだからべんけい（Kalanchoe daigremontiana）」との交雑種だと考えられています。葉は多肉質の狭い長楕円形で、鋸状の鋸歯があります。冬に、高さ４５センチほどの花茎を伸ばして、朱赤色のベル形の花を下垂して咲かせます。

ベンケイソウ科リュウキュウベンケイ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Kalanchoe rauhii。英名はありません。

Kalanchoe rauhii belongs to Crassulaceae (the Orpine family). It is an evergreen herb that is believed to be a hybrid between Kalanchoe tubiflora and Kalanchoe daigremontiana. The leaves are succulent and narrow oblong with sawtooth edges. The long flowering stem about 45 cm in height is borne in winter. The flowers are orange-red, drooping down and bell-shaped.
