からすむぎ (烏麦) [Index] [Back] ヨーロッパが原産です。現在では、世界中の温帯地域に分布しています。畑や草原、河原、道ばたなどに生え、高さは３０〜１００センチになります。茎は直立して束生し、中空です。葉は線形で、１０〜３０センチの長さです。５月から７月ごろ、円錐花序をだし、緑色の小穂をつけます。また小穂は、長い芒のある２〜３小花で構成されます。 イネ科カラスムギ属の一年草で、学名は Avena fatua。英名は Wild oats。 The wild oats (Avena fatua) belongs to Poaceae (the Grass family). It is an annual herb that is native to Europe. Nowadays, it is naturalized in temperate areas worldwide. This herb grows in fields, grasslands, streambanks or roadsides, and can reach 30-100 cm in height. The stems are erect, fasciculate and midair. The leaves are linear and 10-30 cm long. The panicle is borne and produce the greenish spikelets from May to July. The spikelet is composed of 2-3 floscules with long aristae.
