かんざきあやめ (寒咲き菖蒲) [Index] [Back] 地中海の東部沿岸に分布しています。乾燥した岩礫地の斜面に生え、高さは２０〜３０センチになります。葉は非常に細く、幅は３ミリほどです。晩秋から冬の終わりにかけて花を咲かせます。花はふつうスミレ色ですが、まれにピンク色や白色もあります。花披片の真ん中には、オレンジ色の筋があります。 アヤメ科アヤメ属の多年草で、学名は Iris unguicularis。英名はありません。 The Iris unguicularis belongs to Iridaceae (the Iris family). It is a perennial herb that is native to the eastern coastal area of the Mediterranean Sea. This herb grows in dry rocky slopes and can reach 20-30 cm in height. The leaves are very narrow about 3 mm wide. It blooms from late fall through late winter. The flower is violet, rarely pink or white with middle orange line.
