からふとひよくそう (樺太比翼草)

ヨーロッパからシベリア、サハリンに分布しています。草地や荒れ地などに生え、高さは１５〜３０センチになります。茎には軟毛があり、葉は卵形で葉柄はなく対生します。５月から７月ごろ、上部の葉腋から総状花序をだし、淡青紫色の花をまばらに咲かせます。花冠は皿形で深く４裂しています。わが国でも北海道や三重県で採集されています。 |

ゴマノハグサ科クワガタソウ属の多年草で、学名は Veronica chamaedrys。英名は Bird's-eye speedwell、Germander speedwell。 |

The Bird's-eye speedwell ( Veronica chamaedrys) belongs to Scrophulariaceae (the Figwort family). It is a perennial herb that is native from Europe to Siberia, and Sakhalin. This herb grows in grasslands or waste places and can reach 15-30 cm in height. The stem is covered with soft hairs and the leaves are ovate, sessile and opposite. The racemes are borne in the upper axiles and the pale bluish- purple flowers bloom sparsely from May to July. In Japan, it is collected in Hokkaido and Mie Prefecture. |
