キンポウゲ科カラマツソウ属の多年草で、学名は Thalictrum aquilegifolium var. intermedium。英名はありません。
The "Karamatsu-so" (Thalictrum aquilegifolium var. intermedium) belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed throughout Japan. This herb grows in sub-alpine forest edges or montane grasslands, and can reach 50-120 cm in height. The cauline leaves are three to four trifoliate. The leaflets are broad obovate with 3-5 lobed tips. It has round stipules at the base of petioles. The corymbs are borne on the stem apices and bloom white flowers from July to September. The filaments are spatulate and petaloid. The young shoots are used as food in early spring.
