わが国の各地に分布しています。亜高山帯の林縁や山地の草原に生え、高さは５０〜１２０センチになります。茎葉は３〜４回３出複葉です。小葉は広倒卵形で、先端が３〜５裂します。葉柄の基部には丸い托葉があります。７月から９月ごろ、茎の先に散房花序をつけ、白い花を咲かせます。花弁のように見えるのは、へら状になった花糸（雄しべ）です。名前は、花が「からまつ（落葉松）」の葉に似ていることから。春先の柔らかい若茎を食用にするそうです。 |

キンポウゲ科カラマツソウ属の多年草で、学名は Thalictrum aquilegifolium var. intermedium。英名はありません。 |

The "Karamatsu-so" (Thalictrum aquilegifolium var. intermedium) belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed throughout Japan. This herb grows in sub-alpine forest edges or montane grasslands, and can reach 50-120 cm in height. The cauline leaves are three to four trifoliate. The leaflets are broad obovate with 3-5 lobed tips. It has round stipules at the base of petioles. The corymbs are borne on the stem apices and bloom white flowers from July to September. The filaments are spatulate and petaloid. The young shoots are used as food in early spring. |
