Prunus jamasakura cv. Katano-zakura

Katano-zakura。
"Katano-zakura" (Prunus jamasakura cv. Katano-zakura) belongs to Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is a tall deciduous tree that is a cultivar of "Yama-zakura". We don't know the origin of the name or the formula of the cross, but it is certain that it has something to do with Katano (located in Osaka Prefecture). In the olden days, the land was called "Katano is the best field." by Pillow Book (Makura-no-soshi), and it had been known as a famous place for "Cherry", which was also described in Taiheiki (Chronicle of Great Peace) as "Spring cherry-blossom viewing in Katano, where you get lost in the flowers that scatter like snow."
