けまんそう (華鬘草)

中国の北部から朝鮮半島に分布しています。わが国へは、室町時代に渡来しました。名前は、花が下垂したところを仏教の華鬘（けまん）に見立てたもの。別名で「たいつりそう（鯛釣り草）」とも呼ばれます。４月から６月ごろ、弓なりに伸びた花茎に、ハート形の花を下垂して咲かせます。花冠は紅色またはピンク色で、先端が白色です。中国語では「荷包牡丹（he bao mu dan）」と呼ばれます。 |

ケマンソウ科コマクサ属の多年草で、学名は Dicentra spectabilis (syn. Lamprocapnos spectabili)。英名は Bleeding heart。 |

The Bleeding heart (Dicentra spectabilis) belongs to Fumariaceae (the Fumitory family). It is a perennial herb that is native from northern China to the Korean Peninsula. It was introduced into Japan in Muromachi Era (1336-1573). This herb blooms drooping heart-shaped flowers on the arched flowering stalks from April to May. The collora is rose-pink to pink with white tips. In Chinese, it is called "荷包牡丹" (he bao mu dan). |
