きだちなぎなたこうじゅ (木立長刀香需) [Index] [Back] 中国の北部および西北部が原産です。高さは１〜１．５メートルになります。葉は長卵形から披針形で鋸歯があり、指で揉むとミントの香りがします。８月から１０月ごろ、薄紫色から紅紫色の花を、穂状花序に咲かせます。 シソ科ナギナタコウジュ属の落葉小低木で、学名は Elsholtzia stauntonii。英名は Mint-shrub。 The mint-shrub (Elsholtzia stauntonii) belongs to Lamiaceae (the Mint family). It is a deciduous shrub that is native to north and north-western China. This tree can reach 1-1.5 m in height. The leaves are long-ovate to lanceolate, serrate and smilling of mint when crushed.
