きんじし (金獅子) [Index] [Back] 南アメリカ北東部や西インド諸島に分布しています。成長点があちこちに生じて、「石化」と呼ばれるこぶ状のかたちになります。棘は褐色で、白色の花を咲かせます。詳細な情報は見あたりません。 サボテン科ケレウス属の柱サボテンで、学名は Cereus variabilis f. monst。英名はありません。 Cereus variabilis f. monst belongs to Cactaceae (the Cactus family). It is a columnar cactus that is distributed in northeasten South America and the West Indies. This cuctus has many growing points on the body and is borne tubercules, also called "petrifaction".
