ヒマラヤの山麓地帯が原産です。よく分枝して、高さは１〜１．５メートルになります。葉は奇数羽状複葉で、卵状楕円形の小葉が３〜７個つきます。５月から７月ごろ、散房花序を下垂させ、黄色い筒状花を８〜２０個咲かせます。花冠は直径２．５センチほどで、５裂して平開します。

モクセイ科ソケイ属の常緑低木で、学名は Jasminum humile var. revolutum。英名は Italian jasmine。

The Italian jasmine (Jasminum humile var. revolutum) belogns to Oleaceae (the Olive family). It is a small evergreen tree that is native to piedmonts of Himalaya. This tree is much branched and can reach 1-1.5 m in height. The leaves are impari-pinnate with 3-7 ovate-elliptic leaflets. The drooping corymbs are borne on the terminal branches. The 8-20 yellow, tubular flowers bloom from May to July. The corolla is about 2.5 cm across, five-lobate and spreads out.
