こうしんばら (庚申薔薇) [Index] [Back] 中国の南西部、貴州省から湖北省、四川省に分布しています。いまでは中国で観賞用として広く栽培されています。高さは１〜２メートルになります。葉は奇数羽状複葉で、楕円形の小葉がつきます。花は四季咲き性で、ピンク色から赤色の一重咲きです。多くの園芸品種があります。写真は園芸品種の「ムタビリス（cv. Mutabilis）」。 バラ科バラ属の常緑小低木で、学名は Rosa chinensis。英名は China rose。 The China rose (Rosa chinensis) belongs to Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is an evergreen shrub that is native to southwestern China, Guizhou, Hubei, and Sichuan Provinces. The species is extensively cultivated in China as an ornamental plant. This shrub can reach 1-2 m in height. The leaves are odd-pinnate compound with elliptic leaflets. The flower is everblooming, pink to res, single-flowered variety.
