こくらん (黒蘭) [Index] [Back] わが国の本州、茨城県以南から四国・九州に分布しています。常緑樹林内に生え、高さは１５〜３０センチになります。偽球茎は多肉質で、広楕円形の葉をだします。６月から７月ごろ、花茎を伸ばし、暗紫褐色の花を総状に咲かせます。 ラン科クモキリソウ属の多年草で、学名は Liparis nervosa。英名はありません。 "Koku-ran" (Liparis nervosa) belongs to Orchidaceae (the Orchid family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed southward from Ibaraki prefecture of Honshu to Shikoku and Kyushu in Japan. This herb grows in evergreen forests and can reach 15-30 cm in height. The pseudobulbs are carnose and bear broad elliptic leaves. The flowering stalks are borne and the dark purplish brown flowers bloom from June to July.
