ヨーロッパが原産です。「せいようおとぎりそう（Common St. Johnswort」の変種で、わが国にも各地で帰化しています。荒れ地や道端などに生え、高さは６０〜９０センチになります。葉は長楕円形で長さ１．５センチ以下、多くの明点があります。５月から７月ごろ、直径２センチほどの黄色い花を咲かせます。名前は、母種よりも葉が小さいことから。 |

Hypericum perforatum var. angustifolium belongs to the family Clusiaceae. It is a perennial herb that is native to Europe. It is a variety of Common St. Johnswort and naturalized widely in Japan. This herb grows in waste places and roadsides, and can reach 60-90 cm in height. The leaves are oblong, less than 1.5 cm long, and have many gright dots. The yellow, about 2 cm across, flowers bloom from May to July. |
