The Small jackfruit (Artocarpus integra) belongs to Moraceae (the Mulberry family). It is a semi-tall evergreen tree that is distributed from the Malay Peninsula to Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines. It is a tropical fruit tree that grows 15 to 25 m tall. The oblong leaves are leathery and glossy. It is dioecious, with separate female and male flowers. The fruits are slightly slender and longer than the "Jackfruit" (Artocarpus heterophyllus) and are said to be sweet with a strong aroma. The seeds are also boiled and used for food.
