Kopsia flavida belongs to Apocynaceae (the Dogbane family). It is a semi-tall evergreen tree that is native to the Philippines, Maluku, New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and Micronesia. This tree grows in tropical rain forests and can reach 9-15 m in height. The bark is brown or gray and smooth. The leaves are opposite, oblong with wavy edges. The white flowers bloom in the dichasial inflorescence.
