台湾の北部から東部に分布しています。高地にある雨林の林内に生え、樹幹や岩上に着生して高さは３０センチほどになります。葉は革質の楕円形で輪生します。縁には鋭い鋸歯があります。上部の葉腋に薄紫色の花を咲かせます。花冠は唇形で、上唇が２裂、下唇が３裂します。 |

イワタバコ科シシンラン属の常緑小低木で、学名は Lysionotus montanus。英名はありません。 |

Lysionotus montanus belongs to Gesneriaceae (the African violet family). It is an evergreen small shrub that is distributed in north and east Taiwan. This shrub is an epiphyte, grows on rocks or tree trunks in upland rainforests, and can reach about 30 cm in heigft. Leaves are elliptic, leathery and whorled with acute toothed edges. Flowers are pale lavender on the upper axils. Corolla is labiate, upper lip 2-lobed and lower lip 3-lobed. |
