わが国の本州に分布しています。山地の日当たりの良い草原に生え、高さは５０〜６０センチになります。根生葉はさじ形、茎葉は広倒披針形で互生します。７月から９月ごろ、茎の先に花序をだし、濃橙黄色の頭花を咲かせます。開花しきると花弁は垂れ下がります。

キク科キオン属の多年草で、学名は Senecio flammeus ssp. glabrifolius。英名はありません。

"Korinka" (Senecio flammeus ssp. glabrifolius) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is native to Honshu in Japan. This herb grows in montane sunny grasslands and can reach 50-60 cm in height. The basal leaves are spatulate, the cauline leaves are broad oblanceolate and alternate. The clusters are borne on the shoot apex and bloom dark orange-yellow flower heads. The petals are drooping when full bloom.
