"Kurama-goke" (Selaginella remotifolia) belongs to the family Selaginellaceae. It is a perennial pteridophyte that is distributed to Japan, the Korean Peninsula and Southeast Asia. This plant grows in montane forests or forest edges, forms little community. The stems are slender and crawl on the ground, and the main stem extend long up to 30 cm. The lateral branches are short, well-branched and standing in a little slanted. The leaves are small, green and of two forms.
