マダガスカル中部が原産の「つきとじ（月兎耳）」の一品種です。基部からよく分枝して、高さは５０センチほどになります。葉の表面には白い軟毛が密生しています。また葉の先端あたりには黒褐色の縁取りがあります。大きくなると、黄緑色の花を咲かせます。

ベンケイソウ科リュウキュウベンケイ属の常緑多年草で、学名は Kalanchoe tomentosa f. nigromarginatas。英名はありません。

The Kalanchoe tomentosa f. nigromarginatas belongs to Crassulaceae (the Orpine family). It is an evergreen herb that is a variety of "Panda plant" native to central Madagascar. It is well branched from the base and grows to a height of about 50 cm. The leaf surface is densely covered with white pubescence. The tips of the leaves have blackish brown margins. When large, it produces yellow-green flowers.
