くるまばな (車花)

わが国の各地をはじめ、朝鮮半島に分布しています。山野の日当たりの良い草地に生え、高さは２０〜８０センチになります。茎には４稜があり、まばらに下向きの毛が生えています。葉は卵形から長卵形鋸歯があり、対生します。７月から９月ごろ、茎先の数段の輪状花序に、淡い紅色の花を咲かせます。 |

シソ科トウバナ属の多年草で、学名は Clinopodium chinense var. parviflorum。英名はありません。 |

"Kuruma-bana" (Clinopodium chinense var. parviflorum) belongs to Lamiaceae (the Mint family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed throughout Japan and the Korean Penisula. This herb grows in sunny grasslands and can reach 20-80 cm in height. The stem is quadrangular and grows sparsely downward hairs. The leaves are ovate to long-ovate, serrate and opposite. The pale rose-pink flowers come in annular and tiers clusters from July to September. |
