くさよし (草葦)

わが国の各地をはじめ、台湾や朝鮮半島、中国に分布しています。湿地や水辺、河岸などに生え、地下茎を伸ばして群生します。高さは１〜１．８メートルになり、葉は線形でざらつきます。５月から６月ごろ、穂状の円錐花序をだし、緑白色の小穂を多数つけます。台湾華語では「鷸草」、中国語では「鷸草（ge cao）」と呼ばれます。 |

The Reed canarygrass (Phalaris arundinacea) belongs to Poaceae (the Grass family). It is a pernnial herb that is distributed throughout Japan, as well as Taiwan. the Korean Peninsula and China. It grows in wetlands, waterside areas, and riverbanks, and grows in clusters with underground stems that grow 1 to 1.8 m tall. From May to June, it produces spikelets in spikelets and many greenish-white spikelets. In Taiwanese Chinese, it is called "鷸草" and "鷸草" (ge cao) in Chinese. |
