クイアベンティア・ウェルティキラータ [Index] [Back] ボリビアやパラグアイ北東部、それにアルゼンチン南西部が原産です。標高３５０〜１０００メートルの乾燥した低地に生え、高さは２〜１５メートルになります。茎は先端で分枝します。葉は長さ４〜５センチで卵形から披針形です。若芽はいくつかの７センチ以上ある棘で塞がれています。花は鮮やかな赤色で、長さ１．５センチです。  サボテン科クイアベンティア属の柱状サボテンで、学名は Quiabentia verticillata。英名はありません。  Quiabentia verticillata belongs to Cactaceae (the Cactus family). It is a treelike or shrubby plant that is native to Bolivia, northwestern Paraguay, and northwestern Argentina. This cactus grows in dry and low areas at altitudes of 350-1,000 m, and up to a height of 2-15 m. The stems branch off from the ends. The leaves are 4-5 cm long and ovate to lanceolate. The shoots are occupied with several, up to 7 cm long thorns.
