まるばでいご (丸葉梯梧) [Index] [Back] ブラジル南東部からアルゼンチン北部が原産の「アメリカでいご」の園芸品種です。高さは５〜１０メートルになります。葉は３出複葉で、小葉は卵形、先端は鈍形から円形です。６月から９月ごろ、茎頂の総状花序に、丸みのある蝶形の真っ赤な花を咲かせます。花には蜜が多く、多くの昆虫が訪れます。 マメ科デイゴ属の落葉低木で、学名は Erythrina crista-galli cv. Maruba-deigo。英名は Round-leaf coral tree。 The Round-leaf coral tree (Erythrina crista-galli cv. Maruba-deigo) belongs to Fabaceae (the Pea family). It is a small deciduous tree that is a cultivated variety of the Coral tree, native to southeastern Brazil and northern Argentina. It grows to a height of 5 to 10 m. The leaves are trifoliate, with ovate leaflets and blunt to rounded tips. From June to September, rounded, bright red, butterfly-shaped flowers bloom in racemes at the stem tips.
