中国の中南部、広東省から広西省、貴州省、湖南省、江西省、四川省、浙江省に分布しています。高さは１〜１．５メー猿になります。葉は奇数羽状複葉で「ひいらぎ」に似ています。３月から４月ごろ、茎頂から総状花序を数個だし黄色い花を咲かせます。果実は液果で、６月から７月に青色に熟し粉白を帯びます。 |

メギ科ヒイラギナンテン属の常緑低木で、学名は Mahonia leveilleana (syn. Mahonia bodinieri)。英名はありません。 |

Mahonia leveilleana belongs to Berberidaceae (the Barberry family). It is a small evergreen tree that is distributed in central and southern China, from Guangdong to Guangxi, Guizhou, Hunan, Jiangxi, Sichuan and Zhejiang. This tree grows up to 1-1.5 m in height. The leaves are odd-pinnately compound, looking like "holly". The several racemes are borne on the top of stems and bloom yellow flowers from March to April. The fruits are berries and ripen blue with powdery white in June and July. |
