マミラリア・ギガンテア (粋鳥) [Index] [Back] メキシコ中部のグアナファト州やケレタロ州、サンルイスポトシ州の原産です。植物体は青緑色で、高さ９〜１０センチ、直径１５〜１７センチになり、疣が密集しています。また白色の羊毛状フェルトに被われています。中棘は４〜６個あり、非常に強く、真っ直ぐまたはやや曲がっています。縁棘は１２個以上あり、白くて非常に短いです。花は淡いピンク色から緑黄色で、直径１５ミリほどになります。果実はピンク色から緑がかかったものです。園芸上は「粋鳥（すいちょう）」と呼ばれます。  サボテン科マミラリア属の疣サボテンで、学名は Mammillaria gigantea。英名はありません。  Mammillaria gigantea belongs to Cactaceae (the Cactus family). It is a mammillaria (wart cactus) that is a native of Guanajuato, Queretaro and San Luis Potosi State in central Mexico. The plant body is blue-green, becomes 9-10 cm high and 15-17 cm in diameter with the close-set warts. It is dressed in white wool felt. The central spines are 4-6, robust, straight or more or less curved. The radial spines are up to 12, white and very small. The flowers are pale pink to greenish yellow and reach about 15 mm across.
