マミラリア・プルモサ (白星)

メキシコの北部、ヌエボレオン州（Nuevo Leon）からコアウイラ州（Coahuila）に分布しています。乾燥した地域には生え、群生して低いマウンド状になります。茎は淡緑色の球形で、直径６〜７センチになります。中棘はなく、縁棘は白色の羽毛状で４０個ほどがつきます。花は直径１．５センチほどの白色から黄白色です。園芸上は「白星（しらぼし）」と呼ばれます。 |

The feather cactus (Mammillaria plumosa) belongs to Cactaceae (the Cactus family). It is an evergreen perennial herbacious plant that is distributed Nuevo Leon and Coahuila, in north Mexico. This cacti grows in arid areas and form clumps or low mounds. Stems are globose, light green, 6-7 cm high and in diameter. Central spine is absent, radial spines are about 40, white and plumose. Flowers are 1.5 cm in diameter, white to pale whitish-yellow. |
