Meconopsis integrifolia belongs to Papaveraceae (the Poppy family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed in Myanmar around the Himalayas, Sichuan, Yunnan, and Tibet in China. This herb grows in alpine shrublands and grasslands at an altitude of 2700-5100 m and can reach 30-50 cm in height. The basal leaves are lanceolate to linear, with long petioles and dense hair. The bright yellow flowers come in April to June. It is said that it is used as a medicinal herb in Tibet.
