ブラジル東北部のバイア州が原産です。高さは１８センチ、直径２５センチほどになります。成熟するとトルコ帽のような花座を、成長点に形成するのが特徴です。この花座にピンク色の花を咲かせます。 |

サボテン科メロカクツス属の球形サボテンで、学名は Melocactus glaucescens。英名はありません。 |

The Melocactus glaucescens belongs to Cactaceae (the Cactus family). It is a ball cuctus that is native to the state of Bahia in northeastern Brazil. It grows to a height of 18 cm and a diameter of 25 cm. It is characterized by the formation of a turquoise cap-like cephalium at maturity at the growing point. It produces pink flowers in this cephalium. |
