インドネシアが原産です。熱帯雨林の中に生え、高さは３メートルほどになります。葉は長さ１５センチ、卵形で光沢があり対生します。葉柄はありません。葉腋に萼片がライラック色、花弁が濃青色の花を咲かせます。果実は球形で、初めはピンク色ですが熟すと黒くなります。 |

ノボタン科メメキロン属の常緑小低木で、学名は Memecylon floribundum。英名はありません。 |

The Memecylon floribundum belongs to Melastmataceae (the Melastome family). It is an evergreen shrub that is native to Indonesia. It grows in tropical rainforests and can grow up to 3 m tall. The leaves are 15 cm long, ovate, glossy, and opposite. There is no petiole. The flowers are produced in the leaf axils with lilac sepals and dark blue petals. The fruit is spherical, pink at first, but turns black when ripe. |
