キク科アキノキリンソウ属の多年草で、学名は Solidago virgaurea ssp. leiocarpa f. japonalpestris。英名はありません。
The "Miyama-akino-kirin-so" (Solidago virgaurea ssp. leiocarpa f. japonalpestris) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed northward from Chubu district of Honshu to Hokkaido in Japan and northeastern Asia. This herb grows in subalpine to alpine grasslands and screes, and can reach 30-50 cm in height. The leaves are ovate-elliptic, the basal leaves form rosette and the cauline leaves are alternate. The corymbs are borne on the stem apices and upper axils, and bloom yellow flower-heads from July to August. This is a alpine type of Goldenrod and defined by larger flower-heads. Its bracts are 8-10 mm across.
