ミクランテス・オドントローマ [Index] [Back] 北アメリカ西部の大部分に分布しています。標高１５００〜４０００メートルの湿り気のある草地や川岸などに生え、高さは５０センチほどになります。葉は丸く鋸歯があるか縁が波打ち、長い葉柄があります。夏から初秋にかけて、分枝した花序に白色の花をいっぱい咲かせます。花は５個の涙の滴のような白い花弁があり、基部は糸のようになっています。 ユキノシタ科ミクランテス属の多年草で、学名は Micranthes odontoloma (syn. Saxifraga odontoloma)。英名は Brook saxifrage。 The brook saxifrage (Micranthes odontoloma) belongs to Saxifragaceae (the Saxifrage family). It is a perennial herb that is native to much of western North America. This herb grows in wet meadows and stream banks, 1,500-4,000 m elevation, and it can reach about 50 cm in height. The leaves are rounded, toothed, or scalloped blades on long petioles. The many white flowers bloom in the branching inflorescence from summer to early fall.
