わが国本州、中部地方以北から北海道、それに大峰山や石鎚山、千島列島に分布しています。高山帯の風当たりの強い岩場に生え、高さは１０〜３０センチになります。根生葉はほぼ円形で茎を抱きます。７月から８月ごろ、黄色い花を咲かせます。花弁の先はへこみ、オレンジ色の斑が印象的です。 |

バラ科ダイコウソウ属の多年草で、学名は Geum calthaefolium var. nipponicum。英名はありません。 |

The "Miyama-daikon-so" (Geum calthaefolium var. nipponicum) belongs to Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed northward from Chubu district of Honshu to Hokkaido in Japan, and the Kuril Islands. This herb grows in alpine windy scrags and can reach 10-30 cm in height. The basal leaves are round and enfold stem. The yellow flowers come in July through August. The petals are shallowly emarginate and have orange mottles. |
