バラ科ダイコウソウ属の多年草で、学名は Geum calthaefolium var. nipponicum。英名はありません。
The "Miyama-daikon-so" (Geum calthaefolium var. nipponicum) belongs to Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed northward from Chubu district of Honshu to Hokkaido in Japan, and the Kuril Islands. This herb grows in alpine windy scrags and can reach 10-30 cm in height. The basal leaves are round and enfold stem. The yellow flowers come in July through August. The petals are shallowly emarginate and have orange mottles.
