みどりざくら (緑桜) [Index] [Back] わが国の本州、関東地方に分布する「まめざくら」の栽培品種です。白色の花を３月下旬から５月上旬に咲かせます。萼が緑色なのが特徴です。 バラ科サクラ属の落葉低木で、学名は Prunus incisa f. yamadei。英名はありません。 "Midori-zakura" (Prunus incisa f. yamadei) belongs to Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is a cultivated variety of "Fuji cherry" (Prunus incisa) that is native to around Kanto district of Honshu in Japan. The white flowers bloom from late March to early May.
