キンポウゲ科キンポウゲ属の多年草で、学名は Ranunculus acris var. nipponicus。英名はありません。
The "Miyama-kimpouge" (Ranunculus acris var. nipponicus) belongs to Ranunculaceae (the Buttercup family). It is a perennial herb that is an endemic species of Japan and disrtibuted northward from Chubu district of Honshu to Kyushu. This herb grows in alpine wet grasslands and can reach 30-80 cm in height. They are often clumping. The basal leaves are large and 3 partite, the cauline leaves are small, narrow and 3-5 partite. The bright yellow flowers come on the branched stems from July to August.
