南アメリカ、ブラジル南東部のバイア州からサンパウロ州に分布しています。「ミルトニア・スペクタビリス」の変種です。偽球茎は扁平な長楕円形で、先端に線形の葉を２個つけます。夏、花茎を伸ばして、直径７〜１０センチの暗赤紫色の花を咲かせます。

ラン科ミルトニア属の常緑多年草で、学名は Miltonia spectabilis var. moreliana。英名はありません。

Miltonia spectabilis var. moreliana is an evergreen herb that is distributed in South America, from Bahia State in the southeastern part of Brazil to Sao Paulo State. It is a variety of Miltonia spectabilis. The pseudobulbs is flat oblong with two linear leaves at the tip. The flower stalks are borne and the red purple flowers with a diameter of 7-10 cm bloom in summer.
