わが国の本州、近畿地方以北に分布しています。山地帯から亜高山帯の林縁などに生え、高さは１メートルほどになります。葉は長卵形でふつう３裂し、真ん中の裂片の先端が尖ります。縁には重鋸歯があります。５月から６月ごろ、前年枝の葉腋から短枝をだし、白い花を咲かせます。果実は集合果で、赤く熟して食べられますが、中にある核に苦味があることから名づけられました。低地には、よく似た「にがいちご（Rubus microphyllus）」があります。 |

バラ科キイチゴ属の落葉低木で、学名は Rubus koehneanus。英名はありません。 |

The "Miyama-niga-ichigo" (Rubus koehneanus) belongs to Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is a small deciduous tree that is native to northward from Kinki district to Tohoku district of Honshu of Japan. This tree grows in montane to subalpine forest edges and it can reach about 1 m in height. The leaves are long-ovate and usually divided into 3 lobes with duplicato-serratus edges. The short twigs are borne on the axiles of young branches and bloom white flowers from May to June. The fruits are aggregates and ripen red. They are edible though having bitter taste in the stones. |
