The White four o'clock (Mirabilis albida) belongs to Nyctaginaceae (the Four o'clock family). It is a perennial herb that is widely distributed in North America. It grows in dry prairies, meadows, open hills, and along roadsides, and is 30-90 cm tall. The stems are erect and well branched. The leaves are linear-lanceolate to ovate-triangular, petiolate, and opposite. The white, pink, reddish-violet flowers bloom in cymes at the ends of branches from August to October. The top of the stem and the flowers are densely covered with glandular hairs. The specific epithet means light-colored or white flowers.
