"Mitsuba-sawa-hiyodori" (Eupatorium lindleyanum var. trisectifolium) belongs to Asteraceae (Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is native all over Japan. This herb grows in sunny marshes and can reach 40-90 cm in height. The leaves are oppsite and tri-dissected. The corymbs are borne on the branched stem and bloom white to pale magenta flower-heads from August to October. The flower-head consists of around 5 tubular flowers. The tip of style is branched and elongated.
