わが国の各地をはじめ、朝鮮半島や中国、アムール地方に分布しています。山野の日当たりの良いところに生え、高さは２０センチほどになります。匍匐枝をだして広がり、葉は３出複葉で、長い葉柄があります。４月から５月ごろ、花茎を伸ばして、黄色い花を咲かせます。「つちぐり（Potentilla discolor）」に似ていますが、この根茎は食べられません。中国語では「三葉委陵菜（san ye wei ling cai）」と呼ばれます。 |

バラ科キジムシロ属の多年草で、学名は Potentilla freyniana。英名は Chinese freyn cinquefoil。 |

The Chinese freyn cinquefoil (Potentilla freyniana) belongs to Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is a perennial herb that is distributed to all over Japan, as well as the Korean Peninsula, China and Amur. This herb grows in sunny field and mountains, 3-lobed and can reach about 20 cm in height. It spreads by stolons. The leaves are compound with long prtioles. The bright yellow flowers come on the stalks from April to May. This herb resembles to Potentilla discolor, but its root is not edible. It is called "三葉委陵菜" (san ye wei ling cai) in Chinese. |
