みねうすゆきそう (峰薄雪草)

わが国の固有種で、本州の中部地方から上越地方に分布しています。「うすゆきそう」の高山型で、亜高山帯から高山帯の砂礫地や草地に生えます。高さは１０〜１５センチほどで、披針形または長楕円形の葉は綿毛に被われています。７月から８月ごろ、茎の先端の花序に、白い苞葉に囲まれた頭花を咲かせます。 |

キク科ウスユキソウ属の多年草で、学名は Leontopodium japonicum var. shiroumense。英名はありません。 |

The "Mine-usuyuki-so (Leontopodium japonicum var. shiroumense) belongs to Asteraceae (the Aster family). It is a perennial herb that is an endemic species of Japan, and distributed from Chubu district to Joetsu district of Honshu. It is an alpine variety of "Usuyuki-so", and grows in sub-alpine to alpine grasslands. This herb can reach 10-15 cm in height. The leaves are lanceolate or oblong and covered with wooly hairs. The flower-heads, surrounded by white bracts, bloom in cluster at terminal stems from July to August. |
