みずたまそう (水玉草)

わが国の各地をはじめ、朝鮮半島や中国、インドシナ半島に分布しています。山野の林内に生え、高さは２０〜６０センチになります。節は赤褐色を帯びます。葉は長卵形から長楕円形で対生します。基部はくさび形です。８月から９月ごろ、茎頂や葉腋から総状花序をだし、小さな白色の２弁花を咲かせます。果実は広倒卵形でかぎ状毛が密生します。 |

アカバナ科ミズタマソウ属の多年草で、学名は Circaea mollis。英名はありません。 |

"Mizutama-so" (Circaea mollis) belongs to Onagraceae (the Evening primrose family). It is a perennial herb that is native to various parts of Japan, as well as the Korean Peninsula, China and the Indo-China Peninsula. This herb grows in forests on mountains and fields, it can reach 20-60 cm in height. The nodes are tinged red-brown. The leaves are long-ovate to oblong and opposite with cuneatic bases. The small, white, bipetaled flowers bloom in the racemes atop of stems and axils from August to September. The fruits are broad obovate and covered with dense hooked hairs. |
