バラ科キイチゴ属の落葉低木で、学名は Rubus palmatus var. coptophyllus。英名はありません。
The "Momiji-ichigo" (Rubus palmatus var. coptophyllus) belongs to Rosaceae (the Rose family). It is a small deciduous tree that is native to northward from Chubu district of Honshu to a part of Hokkaido in Japan. This tree can be found usually in eastern Japan. The leaves are divided into 3-5 lobes palmately with coarse indentations and teeth. The petioles have hooked spines. It blooms discending white flowers come in March to May. The fruits are sweet and ripen orange-yellow in summer.
