モンタナはいまつ (モンタナ這松) [Index] [Back] ヨーロッパ中部から南部に分布する「モンタナまつ（モンタナ松）」の矮性変種です。山地帯から高山帯に生え、高さは０．９〜１．５メートルになります。多くの場合、幹は直立し、這うように枝を伸ばします。幅は１．８〜３メートルに広がります。ロックガーデンに最適な矮性常緑樹で、ファンデーションプランティング（基礎となる植生）にも適しています。  マツ科マツ属の常緑低木で、学名は Pinus mugo var. pumilio。英名は Dwarf mountain pine。  The Dwarf mountain pine (Pinus mugo var. pumilio) belongs to Pinaceae (the Pine family). It is a tall evergreen tree that is a dwarf variety of "Mugo pine" distributed in central and southern Europe. It grows in the montane to alpine zones and is 0.9 to 1.5 m tall. In most cases, the trunk is erect with creeping branches. It grows to 1.8 to 3 m wide.
