ムクナ・ワルブルギー

パプアニューギニアからイリアン島やモルッカ諸島、スラウェシ島に分布しています。蔓性の潅木で、よじ登り、鮮やかな朱色の花房を下垂します。熊本県菊鹿町相良には、これによく似た、花が紫色の「あいらとびかずら（相良飛び葛）」があり、天然記念物になっています。「ムクナ・ベネッティー（Mucuna bennettii）」とも近縁です。 |

マメ科トビカズラ属の常緑蔓性木本で、学名は Mucuna warburgii。英名は New Guinea creeper、Parrot's beak。 |

The New Guinea creeper (Mucuna warburgii) belongs to Fabaceae (the Pea family). It is an evergreen woody vine that is distributed from Papua New Guinea to Irian Island, the Maluku Islands and Sulawesi Island. It is a vine shrub that climbs and hangs bright vermilion inflorescences. In Aira, Kikuka-machi, Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan, there is a similar "Aira-tobikazura" with purple flowers, which is a natural monument. Mucuna warburgii is also closely related to "Mucuna bennettii". |
